BOOT - FEET - WORSHIP

NYBondageCLub - Gay Meetings For Men 4 Men interested in BDSM Activities in New York City!

Boot worship is a term for the practice of extreme adulation of boots in BDSM .

It is related to foot worship in a derivative way, in that the adulation may really be attributable to the proximity of the boots to their owner. If the foot is usually considered one of the "lowest" and least appreciated parts of the body, the "sub"'s reverence for the footwear that encloses her or his dom's foot is a concrete admission of inferiority.

Thus boot worship may include sniffing or inhaling from worn boots, as well as licking , kissing or cleaning their exteriors. It may also consist, more passively, of the woman or man lying prone and being "trampled" by her or his dom. Heeled boots may lend themselves to sucking , in an approximation of fellatio .

Foot fetish has been defined as a pronounced sexual interest in the lower limb or anything that covers portions of them. Freud considered foot binding as a form of fetishism. [3] For a foot fetishist, points of attraction include the shape and size of the foot and toes, treatments eg: french pedicure, state of dress (i.e., barefoot or clad in socks or nylons ), odor, and any form of sensory interaction. [3]

Aretifism is a sexual attraction to people who are without footwear, rather than feet.

Relative frequency

In order to estimate the relative frequency of fetishes in a large sample of (at least 9000) individuals, researchers at the University of Bologna examined 381 discussion groups on the Internet. The prevalences shown for different fetishes were estimated based on (a) the number of groups devoted to the category, (b) the number of individuals participating in the groups and (c) the number of messages exchanged. The results from the survey concluded that the sexual preferences for body parts or features, and for objects usually associated with the body were most common (33% and 30% respectively). The "most common target of preferences" for the body parts were feet and toes at 47%. For objects usually associated with the body; shoes, boots and other footwear were recorded at 64% of the subsequent 30%. [4] [5]

In August 2006 , the ISP AOL released a database of the search terms submitted by their subscribers. In ranking only those phrases that included the word "fetish", it was found that the most common search was for feet. [6]

Relationships to health and disease

Researchers have hypothesized that foot fetishism increases as a response to epidemics of sexually transmitted diseases. In one study, the increased interest in feet as sexual objects was observed during the syphilis epidemics of the 16th and 19th centuries in Europe. [7] In another study, the frequency of foot-fetish depictions in pornographic literature was measured over a 30 year interval. An exponential increase was noted during the period of the current AIDS epidemic. [8]

Causation

Neurologist Vilayanur S. Ramachandran proposed that foot fetishism is caused by the feet and the genitals occupying adjacent areas of the somatosensory cortex , possibly entailing some neural crosstalk between the two. [9]

Shoe fetishism , also known as retifism (after Nicolas-Edme Rétif ), is the attribution of attractive sexual qualities to shoes or other footwear as a matter of sexual preference, psychosexual disorder, and an alternative or compliment to a relationship with a partner. [1] [2] Although shoes carry sexual connotations in mainstream culture [ weasel words ] (for example, women's shoes are commonly sold as being "sexy") this opinion refers to an ethnographic or cultural context. [3]

Shoe fetishism in popular entertainment

The mid-1960's British TV series The Avengers often featured fetishistic clothing, and Patrick Macnee and Honor Blackman released a 45 RPM single in 1964 titled "Kinky Boots" [1] [2] . However during the late-1960's the media also brought the case of serial killer Jerry Brudos to the public's attention. Brudos known as the Shoe Fetish Slayer would amputate his female victims' feet and dress them up in his large collection of lady's shoes.

The Sex and the City episode, " La Douleur Exquise! " featured a shoe salesman with a shoe fetish, who allowed Charlotte York to have expensive shoes for free simply for allowing him to assist her in trying on various pairs of shoes. The relationship came to an end when Charlotte was discomforted by the salesman obviously climaxing while assisting her with the sixth pair of the day.

The movie There's Something About Mary featured a former boyfriend of Mary with a shoe fetish. He tried to steal her shoes.
